We Remember William Laud, Archbishop of Canterbury, 1645
Saturday
Today we pray for those living in Argyle Street, Sandhill Road, Aberdeen Terrace, Dallington Green and Dallington Road.
Please pray for all those involved in the Ukrainian War
especially all those injured and killed
Morning
Take, Lord, all my liberty.
Receive my memory, my understanding and my will.
Whatever I have and possess you have given to me;
to you I restore it wholly, and to your will
I utterly surrender it for your direction.
Give me the love of yourself only;
with your grace I am rich enough;
nor I ask beside. Amen
Evening ;
Teach me, O God, to entrust all my cares to Thee
and constantly remember Thy mercy,
so that my soul may enjoy spiritual rest.
Let not my sleep be excessive,
but let it serve to renew my strength
so that I may be more ready to serve Thee.
May it please Thee also to keep me pure in body and in spirit,
preserving me from all temptations and all danger,
so that my very sleep may contribute to the glory of Thy name. Amen
(John Calvin)
